(More customer reviews)This is a solid lamp with a sturdy build. Installation was simple.
The base is relatively heavy and will support 'hard' angles of twist from the three movable areas. However, I do not like where the I/O switch is located; it is a separate controller unit on the power line, as opposed to on the actual lamp.
There are 3 LED's with good table coverage. It lights up my work desk (say, a surface area of ~10 square feet) well.
For those looking for a warmer glow, there is a slight caveat (a preference issue). This LED lamp emits a white glow vis-a-vis the warm yellow glow from traditional halogens. Some may find the whiteness jarring for the eyes. I personally do not mind. As such I am perfectly happy with the product.
I chose this lamp for its price and looks, but was surprised to find good illumination coverage.

LumiSource Luminance Desk Lamp with LED Mood Light Review

(More customer reviews)I am a design student in college and I really like the shape of this lamp and it functions very well. I bought it for my desk and like the ambience feature of just having the blue lights on, I use it as a nightlight in my office. The white LEDs are very bright and cover a good sized area although this is a task lamp. The only downsides are that if the light is pointed at you while you work, having 48 LEDs shining in your eye can be distracting, and that the power cord plugs directly into the side of the lamp and it's not at all visually appealing. But I've grown used to it, and to the white color of the light (I prefer warm colored lights for most things). If you're looking for a useful light that is fairly unique, this is a great buy.

(More customer reviews)This is a gorgeous lamp, it looks exactly like the picture, only thing you might not notice in the picture is the metal band in the center has Philips sticker on it to the right, not really a big deal to me, but if it does bother some, you can easily put it facing the back or scrape it off. which comes to another point, the lamp doesnt come assembled, the glass comes in two pieces which you then attach to the center metal band which then you connect to the base, real easy to put together, only hard part is the tiny nuts to screw the top to the base might give people with big fingers a bit of a hard time. Overall the quality feels good, and it might be a bit expensive, but compared to some other lamps i've seen the price is not too bad, and in return your also not getting cheap quality stuff. also, the switch to turn on and off the lamp is on the power cord, just a little fyi, i personally like it like that, makes it easier to turn on and off, but in return you cant go crazy hiding the cord since you do need to reach it to turn it on and off.
