(More customer reviews)I am reviewing the white plastic, not chrome, version of this shower head. This is promoted as the lowest-flow shower head on the North American market - one that consistently gets good customer reviews, including the support of some large municipalities with energy conservation and/or water conservation programs. I am adding mine to that long list of positive reviews.
This head gives a great shower, no matter how you look at it. Two weeks later I still can't resist putting the stopper in the drain to see just how little water it uses to deliver on its promise of low flow, and how little water it uses compared to old head I replaced. The reason I am giving it a 4 out of 5 and not a 5 is that there was some conflicting information in the specs. It was supposed to have a shut-off switch to give the user the option of saving even more water during soap-up/ shampoo time (mine doesn't have that feature). The spec for the white plastic version also says this head was to use 1.5 gpm (the chrome version says 2.0 gpm) whereas the label on the shower head I now have at home says it uses 2.5 gpm. I've yet to check the actual flow, but if it is 2.5 gpm then this is no lower than many other good 2.5 gpm low flow heads now on the market. Perhaps the difference is the lack of shut-off switch. Another minor gripe is that it is advertised to be able to be installed by hand. Not in my shower - I had to hunt to find a brass thread expander to get it to fit to my piping, and then it had to be installed with a wrench, not by hand. Notwithstanding these issues, I would recommend this head to others looking for (one of) the lowest flow heads on the market - one that delivers a great shower.

Alsons 654CPK Standard Style Shower Head, Chrome Review

(More customer reviews)I'll be honest--this is a NO FRILLS showerhead, not a luxury model. However, it does a number of things very well. It excels with low water pressure, giving a fine sharp spray (that also generates a lot of steam, nice for warming up the shower on a cold morning). What I really love about it is that it comes apart easily with an allen wrench, allowing you to thoroughly clean it for reassembly--very important if you have a house with incredibly hard water. Try disassembling a complex sealed plastic showerhead! Easily worth the extremely low price.

Alsons 655CBX Fluidics Water Saving Shower Head, Chrome Review

(More customer reviews)I am not sure what the one post about cold misting shower was all about. This was not my experience. Fludics is based on large drops not aerated mist. I have lower pressure. (62 psi) and the Alsons 1.6 does increase the pressure compared to my Mohen 2.5 gpm head by 10 psi min.
The 4 jets shake to spread out the water giving full coverage. Oddly it uses more water than its single hole 1.6 version which sells for half the price. That one has 10 psi more force but it a bit stingy. This one divides the pressure up between the 4 holes. The large holes will make it less likely to clog up if you have hard water.
Note that the head is ABS chromed plastic. The fitting is chrome plated brass.
Overall you will get a nice shower if you have lower pressure and save water compared to a 2.5 gpm head.
You will have to get used to the different spray pattern since it different than the traditional needle spray.
