We like the way it looks, though, and while I find it to be a bit uncomfortable (I'm used to the more flat seats), my hubby likes this one and says it doesn't bother him, no matter how long he sits on it (which can be a while, sometimes!)... Overall, it's nice-looking and functions fairly well, so we like it.

Well worth the price. I bought a wooden seat in cherry finish from another company for a different bathroom at half this price and was very disappointed. I would buy another one of these, if I could find it in cherry, in a minute.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this toilet seat because it was the cheapest option I found with free shipping. The seat itself looks good. The wood and metal fixtures are decent; however, the way it was put together was shoddy.
Immediately after installing it, I noticed that the hardware was canted. The seat kept falling off because whoever installed the metal brackets put them on crooked and so far apart that the bar in the middle couldn't reach both the left and right side. Rather than return it, I decided to re-install the hardware. I had to move it close to an inch in order to get the bar to hold the seat on. After about 5 months the screws tore out of the bottom of the seat when a friend was using the toilet.
Long story short, the toilet seat looks okay, but the quality isn't good and it lasted for less than six months.

(More customer reviews)Perfect, and exactly what I was looking for. Nice construction too. Just be sure to check with the seller as to the type of hinges. Amazon only has a "generic" description and it says "Whisper-Close Hinges". But the seller I purchased the seat from informed me that what THEY had was normal-closing hinges. I didn't have a problem with that so I went ahead and purchased the seat anyway. Glad I did!
