(More customer reviews)When received the seat had unsightly brown marks all along the external circumference. These marks do not come off with soap and water, the only approved cleaning materials according to the manufacturer. I returned the seat and ordered another. SAME PROBLEM!! Apparently when the manufacturer seals the seat in plastic the sealing device uses heat to make the seal and this is what damages the seat as the blemishes were consistent with the sealing seam. I returned the second seat and bought another brand.

After purchasing a few wood toilet seats by Bemis and having them each chip easily -- I'll now try a plastic seat.

(More customer reviews)I got 4 of these 1 year ago and the Hinges are not holding up. The fake chrome on them starting to peel off. I am happy with quality of the lids but the I got these for the nice looking hinges and now they are really looking poor. I had my previous ones for 10 years with not issue - replaced them finally with these and one year later - I may have to replace these again. Not too impressed!!
