I installed this on an older sink and it works well. Pretty basic bathroom faucet in nickel finish without a lot of frills but it feels durable and the self installation was not complicated.
It comes with a new plastic drain connector but I passed on this installation and just hooked up the pop-up to the existing drain plug.

2 things of concern on this set:
1. the faucet is 2 piece, with the basr mount goin to the sink 1st, no problem. Attaching the faucet to a threaded shaft is DONE FROM THE TOP THRU POP UP VALVE HOLE, NOWHERE IS THIS MENTIONED IN THE DIRECTIONS.
2. This drain is set up for dinks with OVERFLOWS!! If, as I did, you are using a marble or single sided sink bowl you have to create a spacer with a 1 1/4 piece of PVC and a 2nd washer to seal it under youe sink.
Other than these 2 things the set is well made and installs easily and looks great with granite......

Moen 4948BN Castleby Two Handle Lavatory Faucet with Drain Assembly, Brushed Nickel (Not CA / VT Compliant) Review

I purchased this a few months ago from Amazon and just got around to installing it. I've installed many faucets in the past and this one was a little different. For one thing there is no gasket between the faucet base and sink. I thought this was kind of strange since all the others I installed had one. I just hope that the kids don't let a lot of water gather at the base since I'm sure it will leak down. Also, the cold water side makes a grinding/rubbing noise. I took it apart and everything looks OK, so I'm thinking there may be a problem with the cartridge. I'm going to call Moen and order another one.
I've always had good luck with Moen's in the past and this one was a little disappointing. I guess this may be one of their lower end models?

Moen, Inc. 87434 Single Handle Kitchen Faucet Review

Moen, Inc. 87434 Single Handle Kitchen Faucet

I bought a life-time warranty Moen kitchen faucet about 10 years ago. Within a couple of years the calls to Moen service started. An unending stream of problems with that faucet, none related to each other except for being part of the same Moen faucet. The chrome peeled off the plastic shroud just below the handle. The spring in the soap dispenser collapsed to a small fraction of its former capability. The chrome nozzle on the soap dispenser discolored. The same nozzle eventually just fell out. The hand soap in the dispenser eventually came out brown because of the pump mechanism rusting inside. The plastic sprayer handle simply snapped off one day. The chromed plastic cap on the top of the handle where it connects to the rest of the faucet simply fell off because a tab on the underside apparently cracked. The faucet started squealing when moving the lever, so the cartridge had to be replaced. Naturally, all these problems wouldn't be complete without water leakage issues on occasion. So far no problem getting replacement parts though. We call Moen up, tell them what's wrong, they're not at all surprised, and they send new parts. We go without whatever functionality is missing for a week (eg. no water in the kitchen), the parts arrive, and I repair it yet again. It is repair-the-Moen-faucet week again in our household, but this time in dismantling the faucet, the head of the screw that holds the lever on just twisted right off like it was made of butter. So, tomorrow we call again for yet another replacement part because the screw shaft could not be removed. It's obvious by looking at it that Moen designed in a screw that was far too small for the application. Lucky thing it's covered by a life-time warranty, right? Do not be fooled, "life-time warranty" does not mean you're getting quality because you won't be getting quality at all. All it means is that their margins are so incredibly high that they can afford to keep sending out replacement parts to the persistent few who don't just toss out the faucet and buy a whole new one. My advice? Stay away from Moen products, whether they have life-time warranties or not. The aggravation isn't worth it. I have friends with Moen fixtures who tell me they have very similar problems. I wish I could point you to a better brand, but I haven't figured that out yet. I know what I won't be buying ever again - Moen.

Moen A750 Slide Bar Secure Mount Anchor Review

Moen A750 Slide Bar Secure Mount Anchor

I used these to help mount a TV on wall where the studs were 22" apart (non structural) since they are the exact same size as the Vanco SMA3000X Flat Panel TV SecureMount Anchors and or the Moen SecureMounts that can be found at other sites. Super simple to install and way better than molly toggles as they have much larger surface area. Very secure for my TV.
I did hit two other studs and then put these in the end that was not able to reach another stud so I'm not worried about them taking a huge load from my TV and mount but I feel pretty confident that they would easily hold any flat panel TV. They are rated for 300 lbs together when used to mount handrails so a TV should not be a big problem.
Very nice product for what could be a difficult installation problem.

MOEN INCORPORATED 26092 SOLEX RAIN SHOWER SHOWERHEAD 8" Review

MOEN INCORPORATED 26092 SOLEX RAIN SHOWER SHOWERHEAD 8
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
As someone who buys a LOT of plumbing parts & pieces (I renovate old apartment buildings & houses for a living), I tend to avoid the cheap and the trendy and stick with the classics that are tried and true. Unfortunately, Moen products fall into the former instead of the latter category.
Twice in the past 15 years I've bought Moen products for a bathroom renovation project--instead of the Kohler products that I tend to use day in and day out. And both times those Moen products have failed quickly and indefensibly. The first time it was a Monticello faucet that the (cheap, chrome plated plastic) handle snapped off of. The second time was the above showerhead (model # 26092, which is sold at Lowes and various other retail outlets for about $35, but listed on the Moen website as the "Adler" model, at $125).
I bought this showerhead for for a vintage restoration I did in Salt Lake City. A Victorian bath with claw tub. I modified the claw tub faucet--which had no shower outlet--with a diverter, and ran a line up into the ceiling for an overhead rain shower. This was the showerhead I used--and it worked fine for about 3 years--then inexplicably split at the seams one day--spraying water all over the bathroom in the process.
Now, the showerheads I usually pull out of these old bathrooms are usually still functional--though sometimes 20, 30, even 40+ years old. And this particular showerhead had no moving parts whatsoever. It's basically a sieve that fills up with water and lets it pour out onto the person standing below it. Not high tech in any way. And yet, they built it so cheaply that it simply broke at the seams after just three short years of relatively easy use. Literally, no one has even touched the showerhead since it was installed. It's seven feet off the ground and just pours water straight down. No reason to adjust it.
Of course, Moen--like pretty much all of the big plumbing fixture manufacturers--has a "lifetime warranty" on most of its plumbing fixtures. So, instead of spending the extra 30 cents to fabricate them to last from the start, they'll just make 'em cheap and send a new one to anyone who happens to remember that it is covered with a lifetime warranty. (Most people don't know or remember that. They just go down and buy a new faucet or showerhead or part if it fails after a year or two. We're programmed to accept cheap goods nowadays.)
So, if you just need a showerhead that "looks" good for a couple of years--and works reasonably well during that time--this, and a lot of other cheap products out there will suffice. But if you don't want to have to replace your showerhead every few years--don't buy a Moen--or any other cheaper, trendy brand. (Danze, Price Pfister, PEGASUS (the worst!), etc. Spend a little money on Kohler or like quality.

I was disappointed when my local home improvement store stopped carrying my replacement filter for my Moen faucet. I searched online and found they changed the filter product number and found it at Amazon.com for the same price I always paid at the store. Another reviewer said it didn't work with his faucet, which is the same kind I have, but I took the chance and ordered it anyway. It works perfectly! Don't let the change in the product's number worry you!
