I would have liked a satin nickel or similar finish, but over all we saved money with this rather than buying a whole new toilet seat. (our seat was just a few months old, but one sloppy family member broke it, and the hinges are made of plastic so we couldn't easily repair it). Great product, glad to have found it. It actually sits better on the toilet, doesn't feel flimsy or wiggly like others do, and liked that the mount is an actual screw, separate from the mount rather than the other toilet seat hinge that came with the seat that was one built-in piece. Would definetely recommend to others if the hinge is the only problem.
