(More customer reviews)I love this light fixture - I have two in my house, one flush-mounted, one on the chain in the dining room. I would recommend flush mounting if possible, but it can go either way easily. The alabaster glass makes this a perfect fit for contemporary, modern, or classic homes. The swirls in the glass give the light more warmth than most modern fixtures, which helped me blend the different styles in my home. The metal is medium gray, definitely a brushed nickel, not stainless steel look, although it coordinates well with my kitchen appliance finishes. I bought this fixture for a quarter the listed price on Amazon, so it was well worth it for me. At this price, it is still a good fixture, but it is not terribly large, which some one might expect for the price. I give it four stars for the Amazon price, but it looks and feels like a five star fixture, very solid and architectural.
