(More customer reviews)I'm not impressed with this fan, especially when one considers that they seem to sell in the $75 price range. I have one of these that's six or seven years old, and it's great in every respect. This is why I purchased another. This new version, however, is but a shell of its former self. The new fan has really been cheapened up a lot. It's too light in weight and it's very noisy, too noisy. It does, however, seem to put out a fair amount of wind. If one could buy this fan for around $30, I'd say that it would be okay, if you don't mind the excessive noise. I don't like the noise, and do not plan to keep it. I don't recommend this model.
On the other hand, I love Lakewood's Model HV-21-T, which is their 21" Pro-Series commercial/industrial fan. I bought one of these for the garage but ended up using it indoors. It's pretty quiet (far less noisy than the 18" model described above), is heavy-duty, is well-made, comes with a 5 year warranty and really puts out the wind. I've seen these sell in the $85 range and they are well worth the money. I'm going to buy another exclusively for the garage.
