(More customer reviews)When I remodeled my bathroom, I chose bronze fixtures and accessories (faucet, towel rack, etc). This included a rain shower head that my husband and I quickly came to hate. We prefer a strong, powerful jet. The selection at Home Depot and Lowes is minuscule for bronze shower heads so I searched online, and found this on Amazon.
First, I will say the quality is very good and the price is very reasonable for a bronze fixture. The rain shower head cost over $100, and most sets at HD or Lowes are much more. However, this one has two problems. The most important is that this bronze head does not match my existing accessories. All of the oil rubbed bronze accessories I have seen in stores (including HD, Lowes, Wal Mart, Bed Bath & Beyond) and even ordered online, are the same dark tone. This is much brighter, and almost coppery in color. It doesn't stick out like a sore thumb, but it obviously doesn't match either. I could have overlooked this (but it could bother some people much more) except that it also doesn't have the power we wanted.
I should have been warned by the "massage settings," but I thought since it was stationary (and not with a hose attachment) it'd be fine. We wanted a simple head, with all streams on full. This has multiple massage settings. Others may find this an attractive feature. A simple twist of the head alternates the various streams. The core has a strong pulsing setting which is pretty strong, but is too narrow for what we want.
Overall, I would recommend this to those not picky about exact color matches who want a stationary multifunction shower (which can be hard to find). We will continue to use it until we find a better alternative, but I am disappointed.
