(More customer reviews)The glass shelf is actually 21.5" wide and not 18". American Standard uses a rather deceptive naming convention of 18" which is actually the measurement between the secure points on the shelf. If these had been obtrusive, non-recessed screws, I would have understood them not including the additional unusable space. However, as with a certain cigar, and 18" shelf ought to be an 18" shelf.
