The "H" and "C" stamped into the metal bezel were kind of poorly done, with an uneven depth. To me, it gave it a bit of a 'cheap' look to it, which was at odds with the rest of the quality. A small thing.

If you divert your water from the tub to the shower, half the time you can divert it back to the tub by pulling on the diverter, half the time you have to turn the water off, as the diverter will get stuck.
In a $239 spout? Give me a break!

(More customer reviews)This products gives you an impression of good flow rate with 3/4 connection. But reality is the joining tube is less than 5/8, close to 1/2. Two 1/2 inch pipes goes to mixing valve. That results much less water than it should be. If two 3/4 (hot & cold) joined, it should at least 1 1/8 size main pipe.
The material is good, but product could be misreading.

(More customer reviews)When I originally bought this item, I was unhappy with my purchase, but I tried to fix the problem with a simple exchange. I received broken faucet handles, since they are porcelain, the packaging was not sufficient and caused the break. The porcelain faucet handles were in the box with metal hardware and had only plastic wrapped around them and nothing else in the box to prevent movement or breakage, needed some bubble-wrap and styrofoam-peanuts. Amazon was very helpful with my return and sent me a replacement and I returned the broken one-very easy process. When I received the replacement, I never noticed the handles did not fit the faucet, my plumber did not notice either until after the faucet was attached and soldered to the pipes in my bathroom. I had to buy replacement handles at the local hardware store and now I cannot return the faucet to amazon. Please be careful of this product.

(More customer reviews)We were remodeling our bathroom and decided on this Hampton tub and shower set from American Standard assuming we were buying a quality product. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. First of all, we realized as we were installing the tub faucet, that the insides were missing. We called American Standard and they said they would send a replacement but it took 5 days for us to receive it (holding up our remodeling job and not being able to use the tub, only the shower)! My husband then spent two days trying to line the faucet up to the tub to seal it because it didn't fit right.
It is impossible to keep water stains off the faucet and handles. You have to be careful what you clean this set with or you'll have even worse spots.
We spent $289 on this horrible tub and shower set and I'm afraid I'll be stuck with it for years after all the trouble my husband had installing it. I would not recommend this product.

There was no visible damage to the shipping box, or the product packaging, so it must have been packed that way, which doesn't say much for quality control. But I figured since it was for master bedroom shower, nobody's gonna see it but me and the wife, so I didn't bother with returning.

(More customer reviews)This faucet is very high quality and quite heavy. I was a little worried about how much water would flow after having a waterfall type faucet before, but it gushes at a very high GPM if you have the appropriate water pressure.
The hand shower is a nice addition which my wife insisted on. Although I wish it had an on/off capability on the hand shower itself. It'd be nice to stop the spray but keep it in "shower mode". Also, the hand shower is pretty huge, about 13" in length. The picture properly shows the hand shower size in relation to the faucet... it's big.
Depending on the current prices, the hand shower may add $100 to the faucet. But don't forget the rough-in/valves. The additional cost for the rough-in for this, vs the one without the hand shower, is about another $100. So the hand shower adds about $200.
Overall, very happy with the product and would buy it again. The brushed nickel is very elegant.

I called American Standard and they immediately said they would send a replacement part at no cost to me, which would have been great if they only had sent the correct part. I gave them the model, model number than the exact name on their parts list. I received 4 replacement parts, all of which were incorrect.
I BOUGHT THIS TUB AND SHOWER SET IN ANTICIPATION OF A BATHROOM REMODEL. THE BATH WAS FINISHED TWO WEEKS AGO. TODAY THE HANDLE THAT CONTROLS THE SHOWER CAME OFF AS I TURNED IT ON. JUST FELL OFF IN MY HAND. I LIVE ALONE, SO NO ABUSE HAPPENED. NOW IT'S TOO LATE TO RETURN IT BECAUSE I WAITED UNTIL THE REMODEL WAS FINISHED. I SHOULD HAVE STUCK WITH KOHLER OR DELTA!!
