(More customer reviews)This is a sturdy, well-made trowel. It feels good in your hand, and the handle is real wood. I got it for around $5, and it was completely worth it. I have not been able to find a trowel this quality for so cheap at any hardware store. I took off 1 star because it is not as sharp as I would have liked. It has stood up to heavy clay soils without any bending or wearing, so I am satisfied with it. This would be a great item to add for super saver shipping that you will actually get some use out of if you are an avid gardener, like myself.

Ames True Temper 1946600 Hand Bulb Planter Review

(More customer reviews)It's a useful gadget as it does its job of digging a hole by driving the bulb planter into the dirt and pulling the planter out with the dirt still inside. However, a hand trowel is almost just as good and easy to use because with the bulb planter, you have to worry about getting the dirt out. I don't regret buying this but I don't think you're missing out unless you are planting a lot of bulbs or are just into gardening gadgets.

(More customer reviews)I have owned (too) many of these weeders over the years because I lose 2-3 per season. They are very functional, inexpensive tools for weeding in your flower bed. There are better tools for removing weeds from the lawn, however,.
My beef here is the product posting itself. What is the product...wooden handle or metal handle (actually the model I've purchased before looks like the photo and had a resin handle) as both are mentioned in the write-up?
Now the pricing...I just purchased the "wooden" handle model from a local hardware store at the everyday price of under $3. So what's up with the nearly $8 price from Amazon, especially if delivery is not free.
By the way, the large box stores no longer carry the model(s) described in this posting. They only carry much more expensive and elaborate models (eg, ergo design with shot absorbing gel handles...oh, come on).
