Moen T2152 Brantford Posi-Temp Shower Only, Chrome (Valve Not Included) Review

(More customer reviews)Just finished a complete bathroom remodel and saw this while scouring Amazon. Thought its was perfect since I already had the shower valve and had no need for tub fixtures (shower only). In a nut shell, the handle of the trim fits via the cartridge arm by a plastic bushing and a tiny allen bolt. Needless to say the handle wobbles a bit when you operate it. Just doesnt seem right. I am a licensed electrician who has been installing for over 18 years and this didnt seem to be a bulletproof set up on behalf of Moen.

The Danze Brandywood Tub and Shower Faucet assembly is a beautiful product. It matches nicely with my new tiled tub and shower surround. It comes in two boxes make sure you read the instructions in both box first before construction. I used this to replace a 3 handle tub and shower assembly and the Danze is not a drop in. Reconstruction of the area had to be performed.
As there is water temperature adjustment control built in. Mine is not set properly. Also when soldering, remove the water temperature adjustment to allow the hot air to escape and so it will not melt the rubber fittings inside.

Well..., I've finally installed this set and I have to say that I am not as happy with it as I was when I bought it. After actually going through the installation, I found that the instructions are lacking in detail and clarity. I suppose a real plumber would not have any trouble.
The finish and appearance are still great, but there are a couple of things I don't like at all. When using the shower, the spout does not close off the water very well, so a significant amount goes down the drain, instead of to the showerhead (the troubleshooting guide says it needs to be replaced and I have not contacted the manufacturer yet). When using the tub, the water coming out of the spout actually curls around the outer lip and sprays a mist that goes outside the tub. The water flow out of the spout is the most inelegant looking I've ever seen (I know, it's picky, but it bugs me).
The minor, issues are: That the trim piece for the spout does not provide for any way to seal it to the wall, to prevent water intrusion when using the shower or when cleaning, and, the valve lever is not perfectly vertical (there is no way to adjust it either).

(More customer reviews)This is a good buy it looks good and its very sturdy and durable,chrome is still intact after 1 yr,it just needs regular polishing to remain shinning any soap scum remover / bathroom product would do the job .The only problem is that bottom faucet keeps getting loose from the plumbing line ,I guess its the kids pulling at it.Tightning the screw would hold it in place I guess.

(More customer reviews)The price on this was great, so I'm giving it 4 stars. The valve and tub fill have good water pressure, but I think the shower head limits the flow to what was really a low flow rate. We combined this with a danze handheld showerhead (which has great pressure) and have left the other showerhead as the main one, so we don't use this as our showerhead anymore. For the price, you can't beat it, although you should seriously consider switching out the showerhead.
